Wild Brawl Erupts at Mexico City Airport After Allegedly Drunk Passengers Removed From Aeroméxico Flight
A routine departure turned into complete chaos at Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport after a group of allegedly intoxicated passengers were removed from an Aeroméxico flight, sparking a violent confrontation inside Terminal 2.
Shocking videos circulating online show several passengers aggressively confronting airline staff after they were reportedly escorted off the aircraft before departure. Witnesses said the group appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and one individual allegedly damaged the aircraft before takeoff, prompting airline personnel to remove the passengers for safety reasons.
The situation quickly escalated inside the terminal. Footage shows one man breaking through queue barriers, grabbing a metal stanchion pole, and swinging it before throwing it across the terminal. Another individual allegedly forced his way behind the customer service counter and threw what appeared to be a plastic water bottle at airport staff.
In one dramatic moment, an airport employee attempted to restrain one of the aggressive passengers in a bear hug while the individual continued wielding the metal pole. Security personnel and several bystanders rushed to help de-escalate the situation as other travelers watched the disturbing scenes unfold.
According to reports, the disruptive passengers were believed to be members of the same family.
Following the incident, Mexico City International Airport confirmed that authorities were called to intervene. In a statement shared on X, the airport said the individuals involved were taken before the civic court to preserve order and prevent further disruption to airport operations and other passengers.
Neither Aeroméxico nor Mexico City International Airport has released additional details regarding the incident, and the airline has not publicly commented on whether any injuries were reported or what charges the passengers may face.
