Actress Selma Blair was arrested at New York’s JFK Airport following an alleged in-flight incident aboard Delta Air Lines Flight 938 from Los Angeles to New York on October 11, 2026.

According to reports, two flight attendants were injured during the incident, and Blair allegedly assaulted a nurse and a police officer after the aircraft landed. One flight attendant was reportedly taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Blair appeared in a Queens court on Monday, facing two counts of second-degree assault. The judge set bail at $20,000 cash, $60,000 bond, or a $60,000 partially secured bond. She is expected to return to court in January 2027.

Her attorney argued that the incident was not intentional, claiming Blair had missed several doses of medication for severe neurological symptoms. He also said she had been working long hours and had fallen and hit her head during the flight, contributing to confusion and disorientation.

A representative for Blair said she experienced a medical emergency, received immediate medical attention after landing, and was in stable condition.

Delta Air Lines confirmed that law enforcement responded after the aircraft arrived at JFK, emphasizing that the safety of passengers and crew remains its priority. The flight reportedly landed ahead of schedule, with no operational disruption.

Federal proceedings are being handled separately.

The case highlights the challenges airlines and flight crews can face when responding to onboard medical emergencies that involve alleged disruptive or violent behavior.
