The aircraft, a 2008-built Boeing 737-8Q8 powered by CFM56-7B engines, was carrying 173 passengers and six crew members at the time of the incident. According to initial reports, the aircraft overran the runway during the landing phase. All 179 occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
