JAL Flight JL672, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Oita to Tokyo Haneda on July 21, encountered unexpected turbulence while descending toward Haneda Airport. The aircraft landed safely on Runway 22 with all 126 people on board.

During the sudden turbulence, a flight attendant working near the rear of the cabin fell and suffered a fractured left rib. The seat belt sign was reportedly off at the time, and no passengers or other crew members were injured.

Japan’s Ministry of Transport has classified the event as an aviation accident, and the Japan Transport Safety Board (JTSB) has launched an investigation into the incident.
