A 28-year-old Egyptian flight attendant working for Saudi airline flynas has died from injuries sustained during Saturday’s attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The victim, Azza Ramzy Mohamed Hassan, from Egypt’s Beheira governorate, was wounded inside the airport terminal during the attack. Egypt’s Foreign Ministry confirmed her death on Sunday and expressed deep condolences to her family.
According to Saudi authorities, the attack killed 12 people, including four Saudi citizens and eight foreign nationals. More than 300 people were injured, with some in critical condition. The victims came from several countries, highlighting the international human toll of the incident.
Egyptian officials are coordinating arrangements to repatriate Azza’s body and have visited five injured Egyptian nationals receiving treatment in Saudi hospitals.
Egypt strongly condemned the attacks on Saudi territory, reaffirming its solidarity with Riyadh and calling attention to the danger posed to civilians. The incident also disrupted air travel, prompting EgyptAir to suspend flights from Cairo and Alexandria to Riyadh until airport operations resumed.
The attack follows several other deadly incidents targeting Saudi Arabia in recent days, raising growing concerns about civilian safety and regional security.
Heartfelt condolences to Azza’s family and all those affected by this tragedy.
