A passenger captured the moment on video and shared it on Reddit, showing the captain—identified by passengers as “Captain Paul”—working alongside a lone ramp agent after a baggage staffing shortage left the aircraft waiting at the gate. Rather than staying in the cockpit, the captain grabbed suitcases and carefully loaded them into the aircraft to help get the flight on its way.
According to the passenger, another baggage handler eventually arrived, allowing the flight to depart about 20 minutes later. The same passenger later confirmed that several ramp agents were waiting to unload the aircraft after it reached its destination, easing concerns that staffing problems would continue after landing.
