Bee Swarm Delays Delta 737 In Cancun, But The Tiny Stowaways Were Blown Away Once The Jet Gained Speed

Unexpected passengers on board… well, almost!

A Delta Air Lines Boeing 737 experienced a bizarre delay in Cancun on Thursday after a massive swarm of bees chose the aircraft’s wing as their temporary resting spot before departure.

Ground crews worked to safely clear the wing, allowing the flight to finally take off. The good news? Once the 737 accelerated and climbed into the sky, the remaining stowaway bees were no match for the aircraft’s speed and quickly disappeared.

Not every flight delay is caused by weather or technical issues — sometimes nature decides to hitch a ride too!
