On Jan 15th, 2026, an Air Transport International Boeing 767-300 freighter operating on behalf of Amazon Prime Air was involved in a serious landing accident at San Bernardino, California.
The aircraft, registered N443AZ, was performing flight 8C-4340 from Spokane, Washington, to San Bernardino, California (USA). After an uneventful flight, the freighter landed on San Bernardino’s runway 06 at 23:13 local time (07:13Z on Jan 16th). During touchdown, the aircraft touched down hard, resulting in substantial damage.
Despite the severity of the landing, the crew maintained control and the aircraft rolled out without further incident. No injuries have been reported.
Following the event, the aircraft was grounded at San Bernardino, where it remains parked as of Jan 31st, 2026, pending further technical assessment and repairs.
