Ryanair flight drops 10,000 ft with multiple injuries onboard before emergency UK landing

A Ryanair flight to Tenerife was forced to turn around mid flight due to a mid-air emergency. The plane took off from Birmingham Airport at around 2.50pm but landed back in the UK one hour and 32 minutes later.

The Boeing 737 MAX took off from runway 15 at the West Midlands airport on Sunday, December 28 and climbed to 35,000 feet before being issued a 7700 squawk over Brittany, France.

The flight from Birmingham to Tenerife has plummeted “10,000 feet”, with the major turbulence causing several injuries on board.

The flight returned to Birmingham and landed 1 hour and 32 minutes after departure at 2.50pm today (December 28), and was parked on the remote stand of the airport for emergency services to assist the passengers.

On its return to Birmingham, just an hour and a half after take off, the plane parked on a remote stand of the airport as paramedics assisted passengers who were injured.
