According to the Hudson Fire Protection District, emergency crews were dispatched to a small aircraft crash at approximately 9:22 a.m. The light propeller plane had departed from Platte Valley Airpark, located about three miles northwest of Hudson, before crash-landing upside down in an open field.
In a remarkable outcome, both occupants escaped the aircraft without injuries and were able to extricate themselves before firefighters arrived on scene. The Hudson Fire Protection District later shared their relief in a social media post, stating they were grateful for the positive outcome and thankful that everyone involved was safe.
