Logan Air ATR 72 Rejects Takeoff at Aberdeen After Tyre Failure

A Logan Air ATR 72-212A, registration G-LTMF, operating flight LM-51 from Aberdeen Airport to Dublin Airport, rejected takeoff while accelerating on runway 34 at Aberdeen.

The crew initiated the rejected takeoff after detecting a technical problem. The aircraft slowed safely and vacated the runway onto a taxiway, where smoke was observed coming from the undercarriage. Subsequent inspection found both left-hand main tyres deflated. Airport emergency services responded promptly and sprayed the undercarriage as a precaution.

Logan Air later confirmed the rejection was due to a technical issue. No injuries were reported. As of approximately 26.5 hours after the incident, the aircraft remains on the ground in Aberdeen while inspections and maintenance continue.
