Retired UFC star Dustin Poirier was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after reportedly being denied boarding on a Delta Air Lines flight and later charged with public intoxication on Sunday, Jun 21, 2026.
Authorities say the former interim UFC lightweight champion became involved in a confrontation with airport staff and police officers following the incident.
Body camera footage released by police reportedly shows Poirier using profane language and challenging an officer during the encounter before eventually complying with law enforcement. He was taken into custody and later released.
Following the incident, Poirier acknowledged his struggles adjusting to retirement and said he is seeking help, admitting that alcohol has become a growing concern in his life.
